Three Peaks Challenge

On 21st June we will be tackling the National Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours in support of The Together Plan.

Starting in Scotland we will climb Ben Nevis, we then make our way to Scarfell Pike in Cumbria to climb England’s highest mountain. We will finish our trek in Wales to ascend Snowdon.

Freddie is supporting The Together Plan as part of his Bar Mitzvah programme and is twinning his Bar Mitzvah with a lovely boy called Pavel who lives in Slutsk, Belarus. The Together Plan are supporting Pavel in preparation for his Bar Mitzvah later in 2019 – teaching him to read Hebrew and prepare for his big day. This is being done over Skype, since the resources are just not there for Pavel to prepare for bar mitzvah in his own community.

Freddie’s aim is to raise money for support to Pavel’s community in Slutsk and one of the goals is to be able to buy a television for the community center. Pavel has told us that this is something the community would really benefit from.

Having contact with Pavel has helped Freddie understand how lucky he is to have so much access to Judaism, Rabbi’s, educators and facilities as a Jewish boy in the UK. He has come to understand how important Belarus is to the Jewish world how there are isolated and neglected Jewish communities who are in need of help today and how The Together Plan is making a real and positive difference.

Please support us by donating to this incredible charity, we will all be so grateful for any contributions.
