By signing up to become a regular supporter you are giving us the security and peace of mind of knowing we can rely on your donations in the future to continue to support our important journey. Much of the work we do involves forward thinking and this planning is made easier with the knowledge that we will have a steady income we can rely on.

This is a totally volunteer-driven project which encourages volunteering in Belarus as well as in the UK. We teach community members how to take on more roles within their community so that they can run the distribution at their end. This ensures all those who qualify to receive aid, do so in a fair and dignified manner.
Donate unwanted items — If you have any unwanted items, we would love to put them to good use! We accept good quality shoes and clothes; toys; sheets and towels; stationery and arts & crafts; kitchen non-breakables and Judaica. We sort and pack all donations and send them to communities in Belarus, both Jewish and non-Jewish.
Volunteer to drive for us – Unfortunately, due to the quantity of donations we are offered, we are unable to collect them all ourselves. Support us by collecting donations around north London and dropping them to our warehouse and other storage spaces.
Donate a garage or storage space — If you have an empty garage and you are in the north London area, we would love to hear from you. We are always looking for spare space to store donations.
Volunteer at our Chat & Pack sessions — Our volunteers meet every Tuesday morning to sort and pack donations which are then transported by road to communities in Belarus, Jewish and non-Jewish. Volunteers meet once a week and are always looking for additional help and a nice chat!

Throughout the year we organise a range of different events. Whether you are ready to get your thinking caps on as part of a quiz team, or want to learn a little more about a specific project or community we are supporting, there is an event for you! Examples of our events include: Educational talks and films; Supper quizzes; Bingo, jazz and comedy nights; Cookery demonstrations with lunch, and so much more.
If you want to find out more about our upcoming events, make sure to check out the events page here, or sign up to our newsletter using the sign up forms on our website. Supporting our events enables us to create awareness of the important work we do and raise money for the projects.
If you can unfortunately not attend an event, but would still like to support it, there are plenty of ways to do so, such as donating a prize for a raffle or sponsoring the event itself. please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the contact page to let us know how you can help.
Sponsor a Sunday school student in Belarus — Give a monthly donation which will help to send a member of the Polotsk and Slutsk Jewish youth communities to Sunday school where they will be able to learn about their heritage, traditions, Hebrew and Judaica. We believe that communities are built on education, and with this knowledge, the students will be empowered to encourage positive change within their own communities. We will make sure to keep you updated of the student’s progress and we are sure they will be very grateful!
Be a Bar/Bat Mitzvah twin or pen-pal — Twin your Bar/Bat Mitzvah with someone in Belarus or alternatively, ask us for a pen-pal. It is very meaningful for young people to be able to connect with others from foreign countries, especially those in Belarus who may not have had the chance to travel and visit other communities. Having a pen-pal or a Bar/Bat Mitzvah twin is a hugely educational experience as you will be able to learn about the Jewish history of the region as well as the challenges faced by Jewish communities today in a post-Soviet country.
Our Youth for Youth project started in 2010 and each year, young adults between the ages of 17 and 30, travel to Belarus to run summer programmes and engage with their peers both from the UK and Belarus. This is a real social action initiative that continues to positively impact young adults across the world, year on year. Youth for Youth members organise fun, social gatherings as well as fundraise together and plan events throughout the year.
Volunteer on a youth camp — If you are aged between 17 and 30, and a Youth for Youth member, you will be able to travel to Belarus and volunteer as part of a large team that plans and runs youth camps in Belarus each year. The camps usually take place in the summer and even if you are not able to come to the camp, you are still encouraged to get involved with the planning and organisation. Just because you won’t be there to run the activity, doesn’t mean you don’t have some amazing and possibly life changing ideas!

Volunteer as a translator — We are always looking for volunteer Russian translators. This could be translating anything from book texts, to articles and even web pages. As we continue to grow our charity, it is important to be as accessible as possible. We would love to be able to share our articles, newsletters and work with the communities in Belarus, however often that is not possible due to language constraints. Translators help us to build the bridges that connect our communities and it is through these bridges that mutual respect and learning can take place.
Volunteer to write for us — We are also always looking for people who like to creatively write articles for us on the work that we are doing. A well written article can be a very effective method of spreading awareness. However, we also understand the dedication that is required to become a writer. We would love anyone to get involved, even if you have never written before, or if you only have time to write one article! The only requirements are enthusiasm and interest.
Volunteer to be on our events squad – If you have ever been to an event and thought that you would do something differently, then this is the role for you! Whether you want to revolutionise the way we show our films, or have an amazing idea for a fundraiser, get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you and your ideas! It isn’t just planning though, if you are concerned that you don’t have the time to plan an event, we would be glad to have your help on the day of an event. Make sure to get in touch and find out how you can help make a difference! You can find out about our upcoming events here.
